Take Action: Tell Assembly Leaders to Protect California Street Vendors!

We’re calling on Assemblymembers to pass SB 635, the Street Vendor Business Protection Act – to protect immigrant workers and their families by preventing ICE from engaging in aggressive enforcement and accessing vendors’ personal data.

We need you to make your voice heard at each stage of the process! Even if you’ve taken action before, please send another email or call your Assemblymember.

How to take action:

Step 1: Email Representatives

Use our easy action form to email Assemblymembers with just a few clicks! You’ll input your information – and it will automatically populate a draft email for you, which you can customize to add your perspective. If you have a personal story to share about why SB 635 and protecting street vendors is personally important to you, please add it. The system will automatically populate the right email addresses and send your email on your behalf with just a click!

Step 2: Call members on the Assembly Local Government Committee!

Use our easy action form to call Assemblymembers and share your voice! You’ll input your phone number and the system will call you and connect you with the right number, so you don’t have to dial. The form will give you a call script you can use – and you can add your personal perspective or experience. The Assembly offices will be answered during business hours by staff members. If you get a voicemail box, please leave a message using the call script.
