Inclusive Action
for the City

Inclusive Action for the City is a community development organization whose mission is to bring people together to build strong, local economies that uplift low-income urban communities through advocacy and transformative economic development initiatives.

Policy + Research

Inclusive Action does policy and research rooted in the experiences of populations we serve. Our policy advocacy and research is informed by our programs and vice versa.

Economic Development

Our economic development programs leverage the multi-disciplinary perspective of Inclusive Action to address one of the roots causes of poverty in urban areas — access to capital. For the team at Inclusive Action, capital in the form of financing, physical infrastructure and education are important resources to build wealth, invest in low-income communities, and build sustainable community-based economies.

We deployed over $400,000 in capital to 42 low-income food entrepreneurs and home based businesses, many of whom are street vendors.

89,500 lbs

We delivered over 89,500 lbs of fresh and affordable produce to 60 small markets located in underserved, food desert communities.

We convened over 7,000 community development practitioners and multi-disciplinary professionals to come together to dream up actionable solutions to the problems we see in our cities.

We work hard to make sure that our initiatives truly impact our communities and the flexibility to design solutions that can make our cities better places to live. BUT, we can’t do that without everyone’s help.
