Access to Capital

We’re a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) since 2020, with a unique expertise in serving BIPOC, immigrant, and low-income entrepreneurs and microbusinesses. In our first 7 years of lending, we deployed nearly $5 million in microloans and grants to Los Angeles street vendors, brick-and-mortar retail, food, art, and service entrepreneurs.

We’re deeply committed to meeting the needs of underserved communities in Los Angeles by providing access to healthy capital and wraparound services to improve individual and community well-being.

Over the next three years, we will:

- Increase annual lending of $1M by a minimum of 10-15%

- Expand micro-equity investment to provide entrepreneurs patient capital to scale their businesses

- Create new community ownership models that prevent small business displacement

- Support other community-based organizations to create or strengthen their lending and business coaching programs

We're eager to innovate and be bold, and we believe that this is only possible through collaboration. If you're interested in exploring a partnership, reach out to us at info@inclusiveaction.org!

Strategic Partnerships

Building coalitions is a cornerstone of the work we do at IAC. From our Open Air Economy Collaborative to the Entrepreneurs of Color Fund, we are constantly coming together with our partners to determine the best ways to serve our communities.

Semi’a Fund

The Semi’a Fund (Seed Fund) is a micro-loan program that provides low-interest loans to entrepreneurs. A Semi’a Fund loan is designed to support business owners who cannot secure capital from traditional lenders yet require support in growing or formalizing their business. The fund was inspired by our advocacy work alongside street vendors.

Cultivate

In the Fall of 2022, Inclusive Action launched its flagship program for young adult entrepreneurs who’ve faced systemic barriers to securing economic stability. The Cultivate program provides funding, business coaching, and wraparound services to young adults ages 18 to 26 who are starting or growing their businesses.
