Strategic Plan

Inclusive Action for the City is working toward a future where diverse communities have equitable and sustainable access to resources and agency over their lives. To make this vision a reality, we came together as an organization with board members, staff and partners to develop a three-year Strategic Plan. Through this extensive process we identified the challenges we see our communities facing, the interventions that will make a difference, and the big changes we want to see. This plan is our guiding compass – it lays out where we are going as an organization, and how we plan to get there.

We’re committed to:

  • Expanding our lending and business coaching,

  • Exploring new options for land and real estate ownership, business expansion through micro equity, and community engagement for political change, and

  • Deepening our commitment to policy advocacy that makes government programs and policies easier to navigate, creates transparent budgets and equitable resource allocation, and ensures public investments center justice.

Inclusive Action exists to impact the community development field by transforming political and capital systems. We’ve identified the following problems that must be addressed and proposed interventions for each.
