Immigrants Are LA
Immigrants are Los Angeles (IRLA) is a coalition of over 90 community-serving organizations across LA County that support the equitable distribution of COVID relief funds to immigrant communities and the organizations that serve them. Inclusive Action is a Co-Chair for this campaign alongside Coalition For Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), Council of Mexican Federations in North America (COFEM), Pilipino Workers Center (PWC), The Translatin@ Coalition, and Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-LA)
Immigrants make up nearly a third of LA County’s population, and over half of small business owners in the City of LA. They are a vital economic engine to the economy and must be invested in a way that services their work, and helps them to thrive.
IRLA advocates for a transparent budgeting process, and for ensuring that immigrant communities get their share of the $40 billion County annual budget and the nearly $2 billion in relief money the county has received from the Federal government in the last two years.
