Inclusive Action
for the City

Inclusive Action for the City is a non-profit, community development financial institution (CDFI) serving Los Angeles County and beyond. Our mission is to serve underinvested communities and build thriving local economies by improving access to transformative capital, and advancing policy through collaborative research and community-driven advocacy. We envision diverse communities that have equitable and sustained access to resources, and exercise agency over their futures.

Policy Advocacy

We believe that structural change is necessary for communities to have agency and power over their lives and livelihoods. We invest in changing how our governing institutions and policies work to better serve underinvested communities.

Access to Capital

We recognize that our current financial institutions and systems are not designed for our communities. We develop alternative financial products and services that center the experiences of low-income, BIPOC, immigrant communities and entrepreneurs.

Community Innovation

Community Innovation (CI) is Inclusive Action’s newest department. The team was created to build pathways for the communities that Inclusive Action serves to lead and inform the work of the organization. As an innovation hub for the organization, the CI team seeks to work directly with community members to create new programs and interventions that create thriving local economies.

We work hard to make sure that our initiatives truly impact our communities and the flexibility to design solutions that can make our cities better places to live. But, we can’t do that without your help.
