Inclusive Action
for the City

Inclusive Action for the City is a non-profit, community development financial institution (CDFI) serving Los Angeles County and beyond. Our mission is to serve underinvested communities and build thriving local economies by improving access to transformative capital, and advancing policy through collaborative research and community-driven advocacy. We envision diverse communities that have equitable and sustained access to resources, and exercise agency over their futures.

Policy Advocacy

We believe that structural change is necessary for communities to have agency and power over their lives and livelihoods. We invest in changing how our governing institutions and policies work to better serve underinvested communities.

Access to Capital

We recognize that our current financial institutions and systems are not designed for our communities. We develop alternative financial products and services that center the experiences of low-income, BIPOC, immigrant communities and entrepreneurs.

$2,400,000+

in low-interest loans provided since 2016. The vast majority of the entrepreneurs we serve come from low-income, BIPOC communities.

$2,600,000

in cash assistance, grants, and rent relief distributed to over 2,500 entrepreneurs and their families, many of whom didn’t receive other government aid during the COVID-19 pandemic.

3,000+

Entrepreneurs served since 2009.

We work hard to make sure that our initiatives truly impact our communities and the flexibility to design solutions that can make our cities better places to live. BUT, we can’t do that without everyone’s help.
